Atari’s new president Phil Harrison has plans to have its name associated with more than simply retro gaming. Their “Jenga World Tour” and “Godzilla Unleashed” didn’t receive the best of reviews so they plan to move into MMO games, such as “The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf” that will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 late next year. Other plans include “EVE Online,” “Ready 2 Rumble Revolution” on Wii and “Ghostbusters: The Videogame.” Be that as it may, we still remember when “Asteroids” was hot enough for us and were grateful for the Atari name.

Street Fighter IV Ryu

We hope you guys are as ready as we are for this one, as has finally announced the release date for . You’ll be able to pick up your copy for the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 on February 17th here in North America, and February 20th if you are in Europe. We’ve been waiting for this game for the better part of a decade, so you can bet we’re stoked.

We also find it mildly amusing that in the announcement, Capcom urges people to pick up Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, which is supposed to be available sometime this month, and yet, has no definitive release date to speak of.

Quite the mouthful, we know, especially considering how much of an afterthought ECW has become. Mirror's EdgeThe new first person parkour/fps game, Mirror’s Edge, has just come out in demo form on the and .  If you are not familiar with the concept, the game features a first person perspective of scaling buildings and obstacles, much like Prince of Persia, but with a little more realism in the storyline.  You can download now on the Xbox Live Marketplace or PSN Store.


Fallout 3 StatueWe know a few of you out there are enjoying Fallout 3 so much, that you are looking for more ways to fully envelope yourself in the games post-nuclear world. The neck and quiet fingerboard are made of wood and the frets and tuning peg handles are metal. The device has a 2.4GHz wireless USB receiver and a battery life of “hundreds of hours.” The controller has a range of up to 30 ft. and a bonus gig bag with pockets for accessories is included. Pre-order the nifty device for $249.99 for a December delivery.

Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition

Okay, we know that the financial markets are extremely unstable at the moment, and coupling that with all the great games that are going to be making their way to stores this holiday, you probably don’t need any more reason to spend more on your gaming fix. This is why the Dead Space Ultra Limited Edition has us scratching our heads.  Granted, it looks amazingly cool, but it is going to retail for $150. You might be considering what you might be getting in exhange for a bill-and-a-halg, so let us fill you in. This version of Dead Space will be available only to 1,000 people, as that is the number that are going to be produced. Aside from that, you get the game, some special packaging, bonus DVD content, lithograph art, “Downfall” DVD, a 160-page graphic novel, a 97-page art book, and an Ishimura crew patch. Yeah, it sounds amazing, but $150 amazing? You decide.
